I am a yogi. I am devoted to uplifting humanity and healing the planet.

Jai Anand (ਜੈ ਅਨੰਦ ਕੌਰ) is my spiritual name.

Jai is victory, overcoming obstacles. Anand is bliss. Bliss is a constant state of mind where one does not feel disturbed by gain or loss. The Creator is the father, the Creation is the mother, and the child of their union is Anand. I transmit the teachings of Kundalini Yoga through my triumph in my oneness with the divine. I am dedicated to creating and supporting Kundalini Yoga teachers for life, theirs and mine.

I founded Club Kundalini to share the experience of the primordial sound current, the Shabd Guru, through the sacred technology of Kundalini Yoga and the Sikhi spiritual path.

I live in Los Angeles, California with my son and our two terrier mix rescue dogs Chocolate and Mochi.

With sensitivity and respect for the uniqueness in each one of us, my classes focus on holding space for people to go deeper into interior life and uncover more clarity and joy.

I believe that we are all our own best healers, teachers, and friends. Although I will be guiding the class, it is really you who are doing the work - diving to the bottom of your ocean and excavating your truth. I am a mother, a photographer, and forever a student.

I have been practicing Kundalini Yoga + Meditation since 2004, and my studio, The Moon Sanctuary, was born in 2018.

I am a kid at heart, I love ice cream and I believe in magic. Learning different things thrills me, but I have to say kundalini yoga and meditation are my favorite. It’s an imperative tool in my life and the deliverance of my commitment is beyond imaginable. I want the world to learn about this magnificent practice and discover that it’s possible to live happily ever after. I am humbled to be part of the Golden Chain and to be a channel of energy. I honor these teachings and I commit to pay forward all the blessings I continue to receive.

One of my favorite Yogi Bhajan quotes is  “If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.”

So I did, I started teaching in May 2018. I donate my time to Coach Art, it’s a program that matches teachers with children that have chronic illnesses. Crystal is my student, a girl with a strong personality but a sweetheart. She had cancer and the radiation damaged her nervous and reproductive system. I love kundalini yoga so much because all you have to do is “Do It” and it simply works. Her doctor noticed strength improvements. These big little things are the reason I know I’m at the right place and time.

Now I want to expand in a different direction and I’m ecstatic to share my new journey at The School For Creative Aquarians. Growing up gay and not understanding who I am was frustrating. My parents, society, religion and friends all set expectations of who I should be. I didn’t know who I was but I knew clearly I wasn’t who they expected me to be. I never found the LGBTQ community that I needed so now I want to be that community for LGBTQ teens. I know in my heart  this is where I belong. I’m here to provoke self love and understanding. For all LGBTQ teens that need community, The School for Creative Aquarian’s is a safe space to be you. Classes will focus on mental health and addictions.

Love,

Gopal Sita

I am a yogi, an artist and an educator who firmly believes that through community, creativity and kindness, nothing is impossible. We are here on Planet Earth at this time to uplift humanity with our unique and special gifts.

I founded The School for Creative Aquarians because I wanted company. I wanted to build community around the notion that with deep respect for all living beings and a genuine love of seeing others prosper, we could help each other grow, help each other teach, and be of service to our communities.

There are many roads to Rome, and with consistency, work, and devotion we will all get there.

My greatest joy is seeing the light turn on in others - whether I am teaching art or whether I am teaching yoga. I have had such remarkable experiences through the practice of Kundalini Yoga, I just couldn't imagine not sharing it with others.

May the confluence of art and spirit prevail!
